Thankful for now

And what’s yet to come

Thankful for waiting

And getting things done

Thankful for rain

And the sun when it shines

Thankful for loved ones

And the family that’s mine

Thankful for tears

And the joy of laughter

–

Thankful for challenges

And the relief that comes after

–

Thankful for food

And a roof over our head

Thankful for apologies

After harsh words are said

–

Thankful for youth

And thankful for age

–

Thankful for routine

And years turning a page

–

Thankful for courage

And even for fear

–

Thankful for night

And stars that seem near         

–

Thankful for flowers

And trees as they bloom

–

Thankful for dancing

And humming a tune

–

Thankful for freedom

And morality too

–

Thankful for goals

And dreams that come true

–

Thankful for reason

And what can’t be seen

–

Thankful for vacations

And the time in between

–

Thankful for my man

And my sweet little son

–

Thankful for rest

And times of great fun

Thankful for mercy

As we run this race

Thankful for hope

And God’s amazing grace
